Project 6 Magazine Cover
Someone would purchase this if they wanted to be successful. A more mature older person would purchase this. I liked how there are pops of red against the grey and how everything is pretty organized. I like how the "Person of the Year" is marble it adds a nice touch.

Project 5 Natural Portrait
Wall Chill:
Birds Eye View:
For this technique I used the brick wall for her to lean on.
Standing Tall:
For this technique I put her in the middle of the railroad so that it would not only be a standing tall but it would also be leading lines.Birds Eye View:
For this technique I used a little bit of rule of thirds and birds eye view.
Casual Sit:
For this technique I used very strong leading lines on the bottom and top step while also she is casually seated.
Final Thoughts:
I think that my favourite photo is the casually seated one. I really like the strong leading lines leading up to her.

Project 4 Self-Portrait
Project 4 Self-Portrait
At first it was hard to use the pen tool because you had to play around a bit to get the hang of it. It was hard to do the facial features and easy to do the face and hair. I liked how you could do it however you wanted to.

Project 3 Shutter Speed
Freeze:
My freeze photos overall turned out pretty well. In the first photo I had my group partner drop a rock into water and I quickly took the photo. The shutter speed was open for 1/200 sec. I like this photo because it really captures the detail.

In the second photo I had my group partner jump off the playground. The shutter speed was open for 1/100 sec. I like this photo because I like how the sun shines in and adds a lot of brightness to the photo.
Blur:
Blur was a really fun technique to use. In my first photo I had my group partner shake a tree in the marshland. I did have to do a super slow shutter speed at 1/5 of a second but I really like how it turned out.
In my second photo there were some kids from P.E doing a warm up lap so I put the shutter speed to 1/8 of a second and I took the photo as they ran past me.
Panning:
Panning was a hard technique
to use and I didn't really get the hang of it. In my first photo I had Michelle slide down the slide. I used a 1/15 of a second.
In my second photo Jaziel pushed Deborah in a chair across the gym. I used a shutter speed of 1/15 of a second as well.
Final Thoughts:
I think panning was the hardest to capture but blur and freeze were pretty easy.

Project 2 Movie Poster
Synopsis:
Singin' in the Rain is a musical romantic comedy about a man who has ups and downs in his life as well with his romance life. He goes through struggles but singing makes him happier and takes his mind off of life.
Concept:
The concept of my poster was to recreate the original poster in a more modern way. And to also recreate some scenes from the movie.
Resources:
Unlike the original which was more of a cartoon we wanted to create a more modern poster. So we went outside and used the weather.

The final design of my movie poster includes a few different editing techniques in
Photoshop such as, cropping and brightening. I had to brighten the picture because it was a bit
dark from the shadow. I feel that I met the design criteria by
making the important things, such as the title, name of the people starring in the movie, the
release date and also including a common quote from the movie all making them
stand out.
My movie poster is aesthetic, focused and ordered because of the bright, bold text with draws the viewers attention and also looks good. It is ordered because everything is where it should be from the main actress to the rating and stereo production.

Project 1 Emphasis Techniques
Contrast
This photo is a great representation of contrast because contrast means to have on subject that is clear while the background is blurry. The leaves in the foreground are clear and focused and the leaves in the background are blurry.
Framing
This photo represents framing because Michelle's head is framed by the shelves in the library. To frame there must be something that is surrounding or outlining the main subject.
Leading Lines
This picture expresses leading lines because the object (being Michelle) is in focus and the line from the school bus is leading up to the main subject.
Repetition
This picture embraces repetition because there are more then one flower, there are five of the same flowers planted. To have repetition you need many of the same objects in one photo.

Rule of Thirds
This photo shows rule of thirds because the scooter is off the side of the picture. Rule of thirds means you have to have the main object off the left or right.
My most successful photo would be this one for contrast. It was hard to find something for a contrast and a lot of the ones I took didn't turn out the way I wanted them to. It was very easy to do repetition and rule of thirds but contrast, framing, and leading lines were more difficult. I liked how now if I am looking at anyone else's photos I can identify what type of photo it is.
